Heirloom Piano Co. specializes in refinishing services. We combine an interesting background of piano technology and custom cabinet shop quality into a gorgeous new finish for your Heirloom piano. We can pretty much finish your piano however you like. We have a wide variety of finishes that we can use for your piano. They range from satin or high-gloss ebony to open-grain lacquer. We will do our best to accommodate your individual tastes. This service must be estimated. We DO NOT go over our refinishing estimates.

Average price for vertical pianos is around $1800
Average price for a grand refinishing is around $2750

"Do-It-Yourself" Refinishing Services
There are a lot of people out there that like to do as much for themselves as possible. If you are one of them then this is the service for you. There are a large number of pianos out there that motivated folks strip down but never get finished. This service is for those pianos.
Stripping a piano isn't rocket science, it is mostly just a lot of hard work and time. If you are willing to spend that kind of time, we are willing to help you to get your Heirloom piano to look like new again. The hardest part of getting a professional looking finish is the application of the new finish and reapplying a decal/nameplate to the fallboard.
The Do-It-Yourself Part...
To take advantage of this service you must strip the old finish from your piano. Then you must put wood filler in any of the holes or scratches that you want to be repaired. Then you need to sand the surfaces to be ready to be finished.
Where Heirloom Piano Co. comes in...
Heirloom Piano Co will then come pick up your piano, apply a professional finish to the fresh wood, and deliver your piano back to your home. Your piano will then look as good as new for as little as 1/3 of the cost of a full service refinishing!

This service starts at $500 and goes up with different finish options.
Application of a decal starts at $50 if the decal is applied when we are finishing the piano.
Questions and tips...
If you plan on using this service please let us know when you start on your project or at least sometime in the middle. We would be more than happy to give you tips on products, materials, sanding techniques, stripping techniques, how to take the piano apart for prep work. Other...
If you decide to do the entire project for yourself we have one other service to offer. There are many parts to a piano cabinet. Starting at $50 we will come and tear down your piano's cabinet so that it is ready to be stripped properly. For an additional $50 we will tape off the parts that could get damaged by chemicals or finishing products. When you are finished refinishing then we will come and put it back together for you for the same price as the tear down.
**WARNING**
**If your piano is not properly taken apart before you refinish it your new finish can and most likely will be damaged when your piano is tuned.**
The reason this is true is because there are certain parts that need to come off of your piano prior to a tuning. If these parts were not separated during the refinish then the parts stick together and when they are removed the finish often cracks or peels in places that it isn't supposed to.
Decals
If you have already had your piano refinished but want to add that finished touch of the name on the piano, please call us. This service when not combined with other refinishing services starts at $50.
