Keytop Replacement

Do your keys look like this?

Would you like them to look like this?

We have several different styles of new keytops to choose from.  A few examples would be simulated ivory in one piece or two. If your piano has ivory, the keys were done in two pieces, the "head" piece and the "tail" piece.  The "head" piece is usually what gets all chipped and broken because it is at the front of the key.  This is one indication if your piano has ivory keys.  We also have white and some off-white designs.  We can replace the keytop alone or the keytop and front as well.  The keytop pictured above is a simulated ivory that is of the one piece design.  Only the keytops was recovered, not the front of the key.  Contact us to set up a consultation and to view samples of different keytop materials.

Ivory and bone replacement is available but to forewarn, it is very expensive.

Usually when a new set of keytops is installed the black keys must be refinished as well.  We apply 2 coats of black lacquer and two coats of clear lacquer to the black keys so that you will never have to worry about them again.  This service is available in both a gloss and matte finish.

AVERAGE KEYTOP REPLACEMENT PRICE (including black key refinishing) $325
