Piano Appraisals and Estimates
"You mean you charge for an estimate?"
This is the most common thing we get asked. The next statement is invariably "My auto shop (or whoever, including the other tuner guy) does estimates for free!" Well, there are two answers for this phone call. I would be happy to do a free estimate if you will bring the piano to me (that's what the auto guys do). And second, deals with the old adage of "you get what you pay for." We will give you the most thorough estimate available. We charge because it takes us nearly as long to to an appraisal as it does to do a tuning. That's how meticulous we are in our inspections. We have found that most of the circumstances that make an appraisal or estimate necessary also make a tuning necessary. This is why we give such a great discount if scheduled with a tuning.
APPRAISALS
We offer professional appraisals for your Heirloom piano. If you need an appraisal done for insurance purposes or if you just want to know "what it's worth", we can help. When you request an appraisal from Heirloom Piano Co. you will get the following:

A copy of our Piano Evaluation Worksheet. This has a 46 point checklist that we perform to thoroughly inspect the condition of your piano. |

A written and signed appraisal that will be compiled from the latest comparison data from replacement value on a new piano to similar pianos sold in the state. |

A fair market value for both wholesale and retail customers. |

Application of appraisal fee towards repairs if scheduled within 6 months of appraisal. |
